London Legacy Development Corporation’s regeneration of east London through the development of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is one of the most ambitious urban renewal programmes in Europe. At 227 hectares, it is among the largest new metropolitan spaces to be established for 150 years. The Park forms the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Working in team with Allies & Morrison Architects we won the international design competition in 2015. We jointly developed the masterplan for the site and O’Donnell + Tuomey were responsible for the design of two major projects within this masterplan: V&A Museum and Sadler’s Wells Theatre.
The original scheme was redesigned in 2017 and the new version can be seen here.
