Gallery of Photography
Dublin
A new home for a long-established independent gallery of contemporary photography in Temple Bar, including darkrooms, bookshop and exhibition space.
The gallery spaces are designed to provide flexible space for a varied programme of changing exhibitions. Hinged and sliding screens can be positioned to double the available wall-hanging space for larger exhibitions.
The large-scale window is the central organising element of the design, symbolising the camera lens and operating as a screen for films and photographs projected from the photography archive across the square.
