TCD Pearse Street Masterplan

The brief was for an incremental development strategy to increase the density on a complex and significant site between Pearse Street and College Park. There was an additional requirement for the College to engage with its city context.
The proposal relates to the existing scale of the College. Merging and emerging from the background geometries the buildings reconnect the two parts of the campus with each other and with Pearse Street.
Within the composition of the College layout Pearse Street Development is the only built fabric linking the Western historic core to the Eastern science end. A new axis of entry would form a rotational balance with the Dawson Street approach, reinforcing College Park as the central space of the campus.
