Mark joined O’Donnell + Tuomey in 2007, having previously worked in other practices in Dublin, Australia and New Zealand. He was appointed Associate in 2013 and Director in 2017.
Over the past 14 years, he has been responsible for leading and delivering several award-winning buildings, including Lyric Theatre Belfast (Stirling Prize finalist) and Central European University (RIAI Best International Project Award, Civic Trust Award - National Panel Special Award, finalist for the Mies van der Rohe European Award and RIBA International Prize). He has been a pivotal member of the team in several competition winning projects including: LSE Saw Swee Hock Student Centre, the Irish Language Cultural Centre (both Stirling Prize finalists) and Coleraine Museum & Library.
He is currently leading ODT teams in the development of several new exciting projects in Ireland and the UK, including: Victoria & Albert Museum in East London, University of Leeds Student Hub, and Dublin City Council Social Housing . He also leads on the technical direction across the practice, providing advice and support on detail design, contracts, procurement and construction for all ODT projects.
