RIAI + NZIA | A Sense of Place: Homes & Communities

Sheila O'Donnell and John Tuomey have been invited by The RIAI and the Te Kāhui Whaihanga NZIA to join the first in a series of collaborative panel discussions on subjects of interest to our communities.

Due to the time difference between Ireland and New Zealand, this webinar will take place as a breakfast webinar in Ireland (9-10.30am) and an evening webinar in New Zealand (8-9.30pm).

The speakers will discuss public housing projects that have created a sense of place for their communities and our panellists are:

  • John Tuomey and Sheila O’Donnell, O’Donnell + Tuomey will be discussing what sense of place means in their housing projects, including the award-winning Timberyard in Dublin.
  • Nick Stevens, Stevens Lawson Architects, will share their Auckland City Mission Homeground, a project for some of Auckland’s most vulnerable communities, and other work.
  • Peter Carroll, A2 Architects, will present the award-winning Rapid Delivery Housing at George’s Place, Dun Laoghaire public housing project by DLR Architects Dept. + A2 Architects.
  • Simon Novak, Novak + Middleton will discuss public housing projects undertaken with communities and local government.

The presentations will be followed by a webinar Q&A.

The webinar is free but Booking is essential.
