Jitka Leonard


Ing Arch Prague 1992

Jitka graduated from Czech Technical University of Prague, faculty of Architecture in 1992, with an honours Master Degree. After graduation she worked in Prague for 9 years: 4 years in R.U.A Architectural Studio and 5 years in AP Atelier as Senior Architect. She was project architect responsible for Czech Embassy in Stockholm, Czech Consular in Munich, and Palmovka Offices in Prague. In 2001 she moved to Dublin where she worked for a year for MV Cullinan Architects on housing schemes. She joined O'Donnell + Tuomey in 2002.

She was Project Architect for Cherry Orchard National School, Trinity College Irish Arts and Research Centre, the rooftop extension to the Gallery of Photography and the refurbishment of the Irish Film Institute in Temple Bar, and Scoil Mocheallog in Kilmallock. She oversaw preparation of tender documentation for St. Angela’s College in Cork and Sandford Park School in Dublin. She worked on the detail design of external envelope packages for the Glucksman Gallery in Cork, Central European University Campus in Budapest, and The Photographers' Gallery in London. She was in charge of the Sandford Park School project.

She administers the contract when a project is on site, reviews the progress, and assesses potential delays and claims. She is responsible for the day-to-day running of the job, being involved in all aspects of projects from decision-making, drawings, site meetings, detailing, site inspections, design packages and reports. She oversees the structural and services co-ordination. She has in-depth experience producing tender packages and detail design, as well as long-standing experience running jobs on site and delivering a high quality end product.
