David is closely involved in the working practice of the office and leads O’Donnell + Tuomey’s BIM team. He previously worked for Haworth Tompkins on a complex Housing scheme in Archway, London, comprising new and refurbished buildings. For Reiach and Hall Architects he worked on a variety of Education and Sports projects across Scotland. He studied architecture at Newcastle University and The University of Limerick and is a member of the Royal Institute of Architect of Ireland. He is interested in housing design research, and in 2017-2018 was a member of the RIAI Housing Committee.

David was Project Architect for The Prow, a landmark concept residential tower in London, and Christian Brothers College, a new school in Cork City on a steeply sloping site. He is experienced in the design of large-scale and complex projects such as the 600-apartment masterplan at Stratford Waterfront. He is currently working on the technical delivery of V&A East Museum, due to start on site in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in 2019.
